Srikanth also came to visit, all the way from Bangalore. He was on an invited trip to talk about his eGovernments work, and it was hugely successful. It was hot today 89F and that should explain why the studly Pavan has his shirt unbuttoned.

Medha @ Bailey's Birthday

More fun stuff
A lot more new stuff keeps happening every day. On Friday the lil' chaps turned 6 months old. On Saturday they both started sitting up quite regularly. Medha, in particular, sits up nicely in her bouncy chair. Pavan seems a little more "relaxed" in his approach to these physical activities. He does sit up, but occasionally.
Pavan, however, has started to make sounds. He makes sure Lakshmi isn't around and then goes "Amma, Amma". He has now made it a habit to say "daa daa" and "ba-ba" quite regularly. When i try to coach him to say Amma, Naanna, or Taataa he mimics my mouth movement with great earnestness. Medha isn't saying all these sounds but she does giggle and squeal when I try to teach her some sounds. She concentrates on her sitting up and crawling - she's up to a few inches of forward motion now.
It's quite a joy to see them do all this stuff.
The biggest thing for their parents, though, is the fact that they now sleep from 8 to 6:30 with only the occasional crying. Night time sleep is now again a part of our lives.

They're SIX months old now!!
Me @ the gates to the Chiang Kai Shek Museum. It's a fantastic collection of Chinese art. Definitely a must-see. The collection is absolutely terrific. And the surroundings are so green, it's quite breathtaking. If only it weren't so humid. But then, even that made me feel at home - the 85% humidity was just like Vizag.
